How We Learn From You

Community-based organizations are surveying residents and workers to hear about the different ways their day-to-day lives are impacted by emergencies, such as COVID and extreme weather. We are focusing on the experiences of people who are hit hardest by these events.

What’s Next

We are taking what we learn from people about how emergencies impact them and combining it with what we know about how extreme weather affects the infrastructure we all rely on, such as the T and buses, the airport, oil and gas services, and hospitals.

By linking this information, we can help local and state governments, public health workers, and managers prioritize investments that improve our communities’ resilience in terms of health, housing, and ability to get around.
